ADVENTURE

Plan day trips or overnight adventures based on your interests.

Explore on foot

Rise early for a sunrise walk over the hills to our farm, or around the lake and orchards (perhaps pick yourself some breakfast!).  A short climb can give an astonishing sunset view or maybe you would prefer two days hiking over rainforested mountains?  Whatever your interest and endurance, walking is one of the most lovely ways to explore the Rupununi

Days on the River
Anchor 2

What about an afternoon drifting down the Rupununi River, binoculars in one hand and cool rum punch in the other?  Or try your hand at a bit of fly fishing.  If canoeing down rapids is more your speed, that can also be arranged.  Longer river trips are the speciality of our family tour operator Guyana Amazon Adventures.

The Rupununi River is right at our doorstep: for swimming, fishing, canoeing or longer boat trips.

Road Trips to remember
Anchor 3

Four wheel drives are the only way to get around this isolated area.  The crew have been driving these roads since they were teens, and know every bump and ditch.  In the dry season the roads are dusty and the creeks are low, but if you dare to come in the rainy season, be prepared to ford rivers and cross muddy swamps.

Villages, mountains and jungle are close enough for day or overnight trips by road.
